Dr. Christa Youngerman, DDS, MPH

Christa Youngerman received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Master of Public Health from Columbia University, and completed her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center. She is a board-certified pediatric dentist and received the Richard C. Pugh Award for scoring in the top three percent nationwide on the written portion of the board exam.  

In addition to private practice, she is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and maintains hospital privileges at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York where she provides treatment for her patients requiring general anesthesia.  She is passionate about staying up to date with the latest research. Her work has been published in Pediatric Dentistry, the peer-reviewed scientific journal of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.  

Dr. Youngerman considers it a privilege to provide the highest level of dental care for children and families and strives to make every visit a fun and positive experience. She is particularly passionate about minimally invasive treatment options and prides herself on working collaboratively with parents and caregivers to provide individualized care to each patient.  

Prior to dental school, Dr. Youngerman graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a B.A. in International Relations with a concentration in Global Health. Her interest in the field continued with work on oral health initiatives in India and Kenya. When not at the office, Dr. Youngerman lives with her husband and young daughters on the Upper West Side and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, traveling, and yoga.

Dr. Richard Marn, MD, Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Dr. Richard Marn specializes in keeping patients safe during pediatric dental and oral surgery sedations, boasting over two decades of pediatric anesthesia experience with an impeccable safety record of thousands of pediatric sedations.

Dr. Marn is uniquely qualified to ensure the safest and most positive experience for our young patients and their parents.

Professional Experience:

  • Dr. Marn served over a decade as one of Mt. Sinai Hospital’s five primary pediatric anesthesiologists. While there he co-founded and served as director of the Division of Radiologic Anesthesiology, enhancing safety and efficiency for the most medically fragile pediatric and adult patients.
  • Since 2016, he started a private practice exclusively for pediatric dental sedations, positioning himself as the only pediatric anesthesiologist in New York State dedicated solely to office-based pediatric dental procedures.

Leadership and Innovation:

  • In 2022, Dr. Marn founded Blue Pacific Medical Simulation, the only dental risk management company dedicated to reducing sedation risk, especially for children. His training system, developed for high-stakes hospital environments like Mass General and Boston Children’s Hospitals, is tailored for dental practices to ensure team alignment during dental sedations.

Since being a high school hospital volunteer and college medic, he has dedicated much of his life to saving lives alongside the best medical teams. His mission is to bridge that gap of sedation safety between what the top tier hospitals are doing and what dental practices are doing, so that every child can get home safely. Chantelle Gibson

Office Manager

Chantelle Gibson grew up in Donegal, Ireland, where she developed a love for healthcare early on. She went on to study dental nursing at Atlantic Technological University and graduated in 2018. Since then, Chantelle has been enjoying her career in the dental field, with a special love for working with kids every day. While she loves all aspects of working in a dental practice, it’s the chance to help young patients feel comfortable and confident that really makes her job so rewarding. Outside of work, Chantelle loves spending time with her family and friends, hiking, and traveling, always seeking new adventures and experiences.
